What is this mysterious thing I speak of, you ask? Simply an amazing motivational tool I recently heard about for writers. You get to choose from three modes, depending on what will best motivate you to continue writing: Gentle, which will just nudge you with a reminder to keep writing if you stop for a few seconds, Normal, which plays annoying internet memes at you if you stop for a few seconds ((though I strangely don't consider them all that annoying, but that's just me, hehe)), and Kamikaze, which starts to "unwrite" your work if you stop writing. I personally don't need much prodding to keep going once I start, so all I needed was the Gentle mode ((no point in annoying yourself more than necessary, right?)) but the other two options are definitely there for anyone who would rather have a bigger push to keep writing. It's good. Definitely try it out!

I had the weirdest dream this morning. Somehow, it started out with Super Mario Brothers, or some variation of the game, though I'm not quite sure what it was, but it definitely involved Mario and Luigi...and I think I was playing Luigi, but it was a lot more three-dimensional than the old Nintendo game. When I played the game, it was more like I WAS Luigi, rather than just an external force controlling him with a remote controller. It was weird also, because Luigi was saving a different princess than Mario was. This princess had long, flowing, black hair instead of the orange-ish hair that the princess Mario always saves does. I personally thought she looked prettier, but maybe that's because my mind rendered a 3D person instead of a cartoon character. Of course, I've always been privy to long, flowing, black hair...but then, I like red or orange hair a lot too, so eh, maybe if the other princess had been rendered in my mind the same way, I'd have had a hard time deciding. Anyway, after that leg of the dream ended, somehow I wound up in a park during a picnic where there were a bunch of picnic tables, and I was a newspaper reporter, looking for people to interview. I had to interview ten people, so I was looking for the most interesting people I possibly could. I interviewed a number of people and crossed them off my list, and then I happened to glance over and noticed a strange kid cosplaying as Edward Elric just sitting by himself at a picnic table, propping his head up with his hand, looking rather lonely and bored. He seemed like the perfect person to finish my article with, because it was rather odd to cosplay at a public gathering like this when no one else was doing it, and his costume was certainly good. So, I sat down and started interviewing him, which he seemed to kind of like the attention, though he also found it a bit silly. I ran into trouble when I asked him his name and he told me, “Edward Elric.” Naturally, I didn't believe him, so he pulled off his glove and made me look at his auto-mail, which turned out to be real. He wasn't just a cosplayer, but the real Edward Elric. I was speechless and didn't know what to say or do, especially since none of the other nine people I'd interviewed would even compare to the interestingness of this guy, him being a real “fictional” character. About that time, I woke up, so I have no idea what would have happened if I'd continued to sleep, but it was most certainly an interesting dream. Tags: dreams, edward elric, super mario brothers

Heh, why does he have to be right about things no one wants him to be? Heh. Even he wishes he was wrong sometimes. *rolls eyes* Anyway... Some time ago, he mentioned that I had nightmares almost every night during my sleep that I was unaware of, which he knew about even without tapping into my mind because I would cry in my sleep. He hates to see that, of course, but there's not really much he can do. As proof, he pointed to the physical symptoms I'm always waking up with: dry mouth, sore throat, stuffy nose, etc. I'd always thought that those symptoms were just "normal" for me until he'd pointed them out. Needless to say, I believed him since he wouldn't lie about such a thing, but I had yet to see it for myself. Well, finally I've seen it. I woke up crying this morning from a horrible dream about me and my brother in a very stupid skirmish, and I instantly felt the sore throat and major thirst, so I went and drank up my entire bottle of water which I keep next to my bed. I normally don't drink the whole thing up so fast, since that would mean I'd have to get up to refill it, but I figured that I might as well get up to put some distance between myself and the dream before I went back to bed, heh, so here I am. Normally my physical symptoms don't feel as severe as the ones I felt immediately upon awaking from that dream, but I know crying symptoms well enough to know that if you ignore them for a couple hours they'll get less severe, which would explain the way I really do wake up from day to day. Funny too, I didn't realize until this morning precisely when the whole putting a water bottle beside my bed thing started until this morning. Now that I think about it, it didn't start until my year of homelessness. Geez, nothing like more stuff to prove Ed right about this. I'm surprised I hadn't noticed that pattern before, heh. How could I not notice that I'm suddenly having to do something that I never did before, and oh, it just happens to be the worst part of my life as well? Geez, I can sure be dense sometimes... Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do with nightmares, especially if they're mostly unconscious ones? I know how to handle them for the most part if I'm half awake while I'm dreaming, but not if I don't wake up at all. It'd be nice if I could quit having bad dreams at night. Anyway, sorry about that rant. I'm normally cheerful in this journal, I realize, but I normally also come onto this site when I've gotten myself put together. Heh, I rarely ever post new fanfics on my LJ, but I couldn't help myself this time, lol. I worked really hard on this one and am rather pleased with my work, despite the occasional quirks one can find in it that I haven't thought through yet, as with any piece of writing. *snickers* Hopefully those are few and far between though. Should be a lot fewer plotholes in this than in my other fics though. After all, I HAVE thought a bit more about this one than I usually do before I set out to write a fic, hehe. My beta makes sure to keep me on my toes too. ;) Anyway, I'm babbling, lol. As my brother likes to say, I should have my Photoshop priveledges revoked, hehe, but it's FUN! Anyway, what's going on here is that I asked ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) marynachaotica if she happened to have any photos of herself that she'd be willing to let me mess with, since I'm still trying to master Photoshop. She sent me several, and so I picked the one that seemed the most useful right off and somehow came up with this, hehe. Drawing the hand was nightmarish though. *shudders* Hands tend to scare me, but I wanted to quit hiding my hands or else I'd never be able to evolve as an artist, so I forced myself through it. It's not perfect, but at least I've got a passable hand for once, hehe. That in and of itself is quite an accomplishment for me. So, I'm still looking for pictures of people to mess around with. Hey, just some random fun I'm having with this question meme generator I found on dA. I typed in the names of my LJ friends and it spit out these questions with my friends as the subjects, hehe... 1. Do you miss winged_wolfgirl? Well, honestly, I don't know her that well, lol, but I do know that she did move to Nevada a while ago...does remembering count as missing? 2. Who would you rather get stuck in handcuffs with, marynachaotica or marynachaotica? Wow, such a tough choice. Ummmm...If I had to choose...marynachaotica? No, maybe it should be marynachaotica, because marynochaotica is just too insane to spend that much time with...yeah, such a hard decision. 3. Does ishte make you hot? .........in what way?....... 4. Who would win in a duel, nightwolffang or marynachaotica? And what kind of duel would they pick, anyway? Um...I wouldn't go up against maryna if I were you, Fang, hehe...she might whip out her book of spells and send you to the depths of hell if you're not careful. ;) 5. This thing sure loves maryna, doesn't it? It keeps bringing her up over and over while skipping over some of my other friends completely. I didn't spend as long on this as I probably should have ((only about two hours)) so yes, there are loads of flaws in it. You're welcome to point them out if you desire, but chances are good that I'm probably already aware of them this time. I was just seeing what I could get away with in a very short time, and it turns out that I could get away with more than I'd previously given myself credit for. ;) Yep, this was fun.
